Some sessions go exactly as planned.
And then there are the ones that take on a life of their own, in the best possible way.
This senior session took place on one of the hottest, brightest days of the summer. We started at Dana Michele Hair & Makeup in Appleton, ready to kick things off until a massive power outage swept through the area. With no electricity, curling irons were useless and plans were suddenly on pause.
Instead of waiting, we pivoted.
We headed out to start photos nearby, leaning into the sunshine and rolling with the unexpected. And just as quickly as the power went out, it came back on. We returned to Dana, finished her hair, took a breath, and continued on like nothing ever happened.
From there, we moved to Hotel Northland, using its timeless architecture as the perfect backdrop. We spilled into the surrounding streets and alleyways, capturing some incredibly unique basketball-inspired shots that felt bold, urban, and completely her. To end the session, we traded city lines for open skies and wrapped things up at the beach. Sun, sand, and a calm ending to a day that started a little wild.
It was hot. It was unpredictable. It was unforgettable.
And in the end, everything came together exactly the way it was meant to.
